I was born and went to school in the booming metropolis of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.  Saskatoon is a gorgeous city and really is booming and I highly recommend a visit.  quick Saskatoon Facts .  The Saskatoon riverfront is beautiful year round and I loved to go winter camping,fishing and canoeing when I lived there. It used to be said in academic circles in Canada "Publish or Prairies" but this could not be farther from the truth.  Smaller towns and cities in Canada tend to overcompensate and develop "Toronto Envy" and therefore the education and cultural life was disproportionately fantastic for the size of the city.  The only important thing missing is a  good Dim Sum restaurant  and a proper ski hill other than Blackstrap "Mountain" .  (Also it is easy to work hard in college when it is 40 below outside and the beer freezes solid in the trunk of your car on the way home from the government liquour store.)   I completed my post-graduate education in Toronto, Canada at the University of Toronto quick U of T facts .  I started out in Neurosurgery but found my niche during my research fellowship in MRI in MR microscopy and MR tissue characterization at the Toronto Western hospital and was accepted into Radiology. I also had the great pleasure and good fortune to be a Neurosurgical Associate with Dr Hart Schutz and Dr Graham Vanderlinden.  I covered call and the ward/ICU for the Neurosurgery service and participated in hundreds of neurosurgical procedures.  This  provided me with a great clinical perspective as a neuroradiologist and my love of the clinical neurosciences blossomed during the time with these incredible caring and talented neurosurgeons.  

Toronto is an amazing city. It is better than New York for several reasons. First, it is in Canada and therefore even the rude waiters are polite. Second, it is much more affordable and the waterfront, shopping and ethnic neighborhoods are relatively safe, accessible and walkable. It also has some of the best walking and running trails in any major city in the world. And it has many proper Dim Sum restaurants. But still there is no proper downhill skiing in Ontario compared with Colorado.

 Most importantly I met my wonderful and ebullient wife Dorothy Warly in Toronto. Dorothy holds a HBComm degree and also an MBA and worked in International Finance and Real Estate in Canada.  She is an elite athlete, intuitive and also does my books so I better be nice to her! We have four healthy kids including a set of triplets. My eldest is an avid composer and actor and recently produced her new album. The triplets are nationally competitive tennis players.  My wife and family are the center of my life and I am truly thankful for this grace.

I completed my post grad  training at Uof T and earned my FRCPC (Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada) and was Board certified in Radiology.  I then completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology at UCSF (University of California San Francisco). I have now been a neuroradiologist for 14 years.  I was a partner in the Radiology Imaging Associates group here in Denver up to this July when I took the leap and set up my own consultation business. My main office is Health Images at Cherry Hills, however I am licenced in several states and Canadian provinces and provide consultations across the Continent.  I also actively consult for several medical device and venture capital companies.
